If
you’re interested in starting your own hydroponic garden, there
are some basic indoor gardening supplies that will be required. General
items like a water reservoir, pumps, tubing, and a lighting system are
common to nearly all hydroponic systems. However, the manner in which
these items are used can vary a little bit depending on the overall
design.
The most basic of indoor gardening supplies are the growth medium and
the water reservoir. The growth medium is what “anchors”
the plant and allows the roots hang freely below the plant. The water
reservoir is the water supply for the system, and usually requires a
pump to circulate the water through the plants roots system and back.
A lighting system should be at the top of any list of indoor gardening
supplies. Because plants require sunlight to grow, these lights are
necessary. They provide the same kind of light as the sun, providing
the needed energy for growth.
